The first-ever National Air Traffic Service (NATS) Infringement Prevention Award has been awarded to Stapleford Flight Centre. This is a result of the sustained campaign led by Deputy Head of Training, Brian Peppercorn.

The NATS Infringement Prevention Award 2013 was presented to Stapleford Flight Centre at the airfield on 15 February. The presentation was made by Jonathan Smith, NATS GA Lead and Jon Bolton, Swanwick Infringement Lead to Brian Peppercorn. The certificate “recognises Stapleford Flight Centre for its work to prevent infringement into controlled airspace”.

Stapleford Flight Centre, internationally-renowned flight training school for private and commercial pilots, has been awarded Full Accredition for its training courses by the British Accreditation Council for Independent, Further and Higher Education.

The photograph below shows Capt. Colin Dobney (Head of Training) with Ka Hei Derek Lai, a Chinese student from Hong Kong alongside one of Stapleford's Diamond DA42 aircraft. Ka is undergoing his Commerical Pilot's Licence (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Crew Co-operation) MCC training courses at Stapleford.
